In 2019, Margaret Ellis was 54 years old, standing in the skincare aisle of a drugstore in Portland, Oregon — surrounded by products covered in images of 25-year-olds, promising to "fight" and "combat" and "reverse" age as if growing older were something to be ashamed of.
She wasn't looking for a miracle. She was looking for something that simply worked — and treated her like the woman she was. A woman with a career, a family, opinions, wisdom, and a face that had lived through all of it.
Margaret spent two years researching formulas, meeting with dermatologists, and listening to thousands of women in their 50s and 60s describe what they actually wanted from their skincare. What she heard, again and again, was the same thing: be seen. Be respected. And give us results we can feel.
Elorys launched in 2021 from Margaret's kitchen table in Portland, with a single serum and a newsletter of 200 subscribers. Three years later, over 50,000 women across the United States have made Elorys part of their daily ritual.
